The scoring reflects how well the horse reacts to refined aids, so quick, soft, and consistent responses are rewarded, while overcueing or slow, unreliable responses reduce the score. Finishing the pattern does not excuse poor cueing—the horse should respond correctly to light, accurate cues throughout.

Any cue is acceptable if the rider finishes the pattern.
